Window Styles
Van windows come in a few different styles. This post will show you the differences between each style, examples of the sizes available and help guide you towards the perfect window for your conversion.
Bonded Windows
Our most popular style of van window. These are made of toughened safety glass. They are single skin just like your cab windows. Bonded windows come in clear or tinted versions. We mainly fit 80% Privacy windows, these look dark on the outside but they get a lot of light inside the van. Bonded van windows can be fixed solid pains or can have sliders in them. They are usually sized specifically for each van and fit inside the press-outs on the side of the van, but universal bonded windows are available if you want something outside of the norm.
Acrylic Windows
Acrylic van windows are different to bonded windows. Acrylic van widows come in flat rectangular sizes. These hinge at the top (sometimes called awning style opening). Acrylic van windows are double-glazed acrylic (not glass) and come with a cassette blind and net system for the inside. As they are non-vehicle specific you have to ensure the window will fit on the outside and the cassette blind will fit on the inside of your chosen position. They are also flat and the side of your van is usually curved, this makes them a little trickier to fit and requires the correct bonding methods to be used.

Just like the Acrylic van windows the Dometic Seitz S4 windows are different to bonded windows. Dometic Seitz S4 widows come in flat rectangular sizes. Dometic Seitz S7 Windows
Dometic Seitz S7 windows are the premium range of Motor Home Style windows. Dometic Seitz S7 windows only come in hinged versions. Dometic Seitz S7 have a modern flush, tinted style to them and like the older style S4 windows, they are double-glazed acrylic. They have a powder-coated aluminium frame that has a slight curve so they can suit installation into a panel van better than the S4 versions.
