Just had our Citroen relay converted by Lee and the team at Mark 1 and we are so pleased with it. The standard of work is first class. They were very accommodating with what we wanted and kept us updated all through the process. If you’re looking for a conversion company look no further.

A fantastic conversion of our Boxer van by Lee and the team. Responsive from start to finish with updates and photos along the way. I can highly recommend Mark 1 Conversions, they've done a fantastic job fitting a Skyline pop top to my VW T6, a leisure battery, 240v electrics, fully carpeting inside and also a diesel heater as well. They've been really easy to deal with, on budget and on time too, no need to look anywhere else!
5 Star Service and 5 star Conversion. We can't recommend Mark1 highly enough. Thanks to their super skills experience and advice we have the perfect van for us. We looked at various options including, self build and buying a factory finished van off a forecourt but we didn't want to compromise on layout or pay new van prices. What we got was our perfect layout and a high quality new van finish. All are communications have been easy and timely, they have been flexible and very keen to meet all our needs. Fantastic. First choice for conversions. Had a full conversion on our lwb t6 and can't fault the result and finish. Every detail has been so well thought through by Mark1. If you are considering converting a panel van then look no further, these are the people for you. From the initial consultation, through the design, conversion and into after sale support they are fantastic. Their years of experience in van conversion is particularly helpful when you are deigning your van. The craftsmanship in the build and the attention to detail has to be seen to be appreciated. I have no hesitation in recommending them, you will not be disappointed.
Mark1 has just finished a full conversion of my Peugeot Boxer to campervan. They took about three months and I can see why! It was a meticulous and complex piece of work that they have carried out to a very high specification. They already came recommended and I have passed on that recommendation to friends and will continue to do so. I am delighted with the finish and workmanship. They take a great pride in their work. They communicated well right from the start, giving sound advice, and they love talking "van stuff". I wouldn't hesitate to go back to them with any problems or with more work on the van if needed.
I could not recommend these people highly enough. We were impressed right from our very first visit and Lee was ultra helpful all the way through the conversion process. The most amazing company. Their workmanship,knowledgeable guidance when designing, customer service and quality of conversion were second to none. We hired a van from Mark 1 as we were really interested in purchasing a van. Just returned from a weekend break in the van and can definitely say it was really worth hiring. Lee was extremely knowledgeable and his expert advice and the use of their van has proved invaluable in helping us decide what we are looking for. Had a air con unit removed and new large skylight fitted to our motorhome very professional and very reasonable price fitted us in quickly and completed the job quickly excellent job done very impressed with the work carried out would definitely recommend and will use again in the future if I have any problems.

Amazing service and superb attention to detail and quality of finish. Lee and the team did a fantastic job on the conversion of my lwb vw crafter. I was very particular about the layout having spent considerable time planning. Lee took on board the ideas but offered his expert input and advice on some of the finer points leading to a great end result.

These guys are absolute superstars. Having been badly let down by another conversion company Mark and Lee came to the rescue and fixed my leaky high top windows very efficiently, neatly and at a good price. They also immediately identified and quickly solved an issue with my electrics where the other company had consistently failed. I just wish I had found these guys sooner. Really appreciate the service from all at Mark1 conversions as they add a Reimo hightop roof to our van. They talked through all aspects of what we wanted, before putting together a detailed quote. It's so refreshing to find an honest, efficient and competent company. I booked in for a gas heater and a wind out awning. They were great at communicating and really well organised. Their work is excellent. They found and rectified some issues from the original conversion including some that were potentially quite dangerous. They did this with kindness and professionalism. I now have peace of mind and a gas certificate! I would unreservedly recommend Mark1. Also surprisingly reasonably priced!
Absolutely great job, even when they just about squeezed me in, which was amazing! Fitted my electric, couple weeks later had an issue with the lights which they fixed incredibly quickly! Couldn’t recommend them enough and will be back soon for some more work in my van.

Yet another stunning job by Lee, Mark and their team. Six years ago they converted my T5 and it has been brilliant. This last week they added an Aurora Skyline, pop top roof. The standard of workmanship, attention to detail, customer care and professionalism are second to none. Any issues with the agreed work were quickly highlighted, discussed and resolved satisfactorily. I cannot recommend them enough.
We had our MWB Crafter converted from panel van to 4 berth 4 seat. From start to finish a fantastic service from Lee, Mark and the rest of the workshop team. Great advice from Lee at the start which helped us save installing unnecessary items and instead other custom furniture bits designed on the spot. Very high quality build, great communication with progress shots accessible as it gets built. Also great aftercare service when something broke on our pop roof. A manufacturing fault (not due to MK1) that MK1 fixed in a very small window of time before we were driving to Sweden. Highly recommended
First class after sales service. My emails were promptly responded to and the small issue with the campervan was professionally rectified.
I had a a couple of windows and a skylight fitted to my Vito by Mark 1. They provided a detailed breakdown of costs which were very reasonable, completed the job quickly, and were sure to be clear about what I wanted before they started the job. Very professional finish. Highly recommend for both price and quality. By the looks of other vans in the workshop this is true for all their work not just window fitting.
Lee and the team have made a couple of upgrades to my T6 campervan and have done a superb job. The heater has completely transformed winter camping and we have even been ski camping in the French alps! The after sales service has been also been fantastic, recently replacing a faulty solar panel (no fault of Mark1coversions) under warranty is a reason I will continue to go back to them and likely eventually upgrade to bespoke crafter conversion!

Superb service. I dropped my van off on the Monday afternoon and picked it up on the Wednesday with the roof light fitted. The guys were also willing to answer any other questions I had regarding my conversion and offer some useful tips. Highly recommended.

Only a small job of installing a Diesel heater in our already converted van. But very professional service and really liked the progress pictures that were sent through. Top guys from start to finish, and would not hesitated to have more work done by them.

I first contacted Lee and Mel at Mark1 Conversions in October 2024. My plan was to have my work van ( a Citroen Relay) converted into a full camper as a surprise for my partner Anna’s birthday.
Although I live in Derbyshire and was in touch with several other conversion companies who are based much closer to me, I decided to make the journey to Feniton near Exeter to meet these guys as I had a much more positive and professional vibe from them.
From our first meeting, I was confident that they would come up with the goods!
I delivered the van to them on the 2nd January 2025 with quite a tight time scale as I needed to bring it back up to Derbyshire by the end of February.
Lee and Mel helped with the design but were very flexible to my requirements.
They were also brilliant at keeping me up to date with the project and sending regular photos and emails as the work progressed.
Everything went very smoothly and Anna still can’t believe we are the proud owners of such a cool camper!

I've left it quite late to leave a review having had my VW T5 converted around 7-years ago now, but this 5* review has held true throughout the time I've had the van, and have been dealing with Mark & Lee at Mark1 Conversions. I had my VW T5 panel van converted to a full camper with a poptop roof back in 2016, the team at Mark1 listened to what I was after before the work started, and everything was considered and taken on board.
Throughout the conversion process I was kept up-to-date and was sent pictures of the build in progress, it was all completed on-time. The end result was absolutely stunning and I am still really pleased with the work the team at Mark1 Conversions did to my T5, it has held up to the test of time having had many camping trips away with the family, it has been fantastic! The after service and advice has always been excellent too, really helpful and the team there are so friendly, it's a place you must shortlist if you and looking at converting a van, or just needing some changes to an existing set up. If I ever decide to convert another van, then this will be the place I go to for sure.

I had my VW T5 converted by Mark 1. I asked for a very unique conversion which they were happy to discuss and accommodate all aspects of it. Lee was very creative and helped create a very awesome camper. Materials and finish are excellent. Would definately recomend them to anybody.
